      You can turn the top of the hole into a ^ shape so the overhang is at a reasonable angle. Your hole will then look like a water droplet. If you want the end result to be a perfect circle this obviously doesn’t work but it can be useful in many cases.

    Hey there I had a question, these days I have been working on a project like that on paper. Theoretically for a person to get a 8bitdoo controller and a Bluetooth speaker how would a person get these things powered via a single battery? Because at this point I'm bashing my head into a wall all because I'm trying to do something with a radxa zero board instead of a Raspberry pi board. From what I'm seeing the gpio for the pi and radxa zero are not the same and thus makes it incompatible with hats that would otherwise fit a pi. At this point I'm thinking I need to gut a controller and speaker and just connect them via Bluetooth and just worry about connecting when the thing turns on. And just because I want to make myself suffer I'm trying to do this in the space confines of a GameBoy Advanced SP. What do you think?

    Great tip, I was curious so I tried it with an LCD resin print and it worked fine (at least with 4.5 mm holes). I've found overhangs are hit and miss on resin printing. Nice to know if I publish my part it should print well regardless of whether FDM or resin printing is used.

    This is great. I have a situation like this inside of a a thing where water should flow and neither supports or sacrificial layer is a good solution. Have used this to good effect. But step two is to make it work with a chamfered bottom edge. Chamfer is important for water flow.

    This should be fairly straight forward to implement as a slicer modifier, similar to Cura's "Make overhang printable". Maybe you could even do thinner layers specifically for these adjusted bridges, similar to how support can print in thicker layers. I guess the modifier would be something like "reduce horisontal overhangs with bridges".

  • @PowerSports
    @PowerSports 4 года назад

    ...or you could just make one layer that is solid, then take a drill bit and clean the hole up, would take a lot less time than all that extra modelling work in Fusion...

    • @TrasteIAm
      @TrasteIAm 4 года назад

      Depends on how it will be used. Modeling it once for printing once, you might be right. Modeling it once to print it 2000 times, saves a lot of drilling time.

    • @gu4xinim
      @gu4xinim 4 года назад

      you can have those features as a separate positive object to be removed from whenever you need it, so you just model it once per type hole. He also shows places that are hard to get and this can be generalized for different geometries of overhangs. This is actually something pretty cool.

      Mine was pretty janky too but just use your drill to straighten up the holes and I used my drill as a lathe and sanded down those pesky alignment pins so they all fit well. Some of my parts were really poorly cut and one piece was not included that's should've been but they sent me another in the mail. Took about 5 weeks. I'm having trouble getting it to tick for More than a minute right now, though. I'm going to try to add a little more weight and then I'll try to raise the right side ever so slightly so the pallet arm is catching properly and then I'll try sanding down the escape wheel teeth a tiny bit and replaying graphite

      @@Maniacallabs I found it in your other video.. by going back to your video few times.. I have decided to buy the new T3 and immediately thought of changing on one extruder all metal hotend replacing the stock.. Ada is pretty good in answering all the stuff and told me they are using high temp Capricorn XS tubing but I mentioned that is melting at 360 degrees why they are rating this to 350 so that's a way too close.. but I would love to see someone trying to print on PC filament .. as of the plates I agree adding all the metal will increase the weight and if you have build up area that high 2amp motor is definitely needed. I asked them to put 2809 on it... would love to see some sort of rolling frame like gecreate has .. lastly the add on plates you mentioned are hefty 205 bucks for the buildtak system and then 89 for the greckotek but I think it's just one sheet for that price I'm completely on the same page with the dual sensor as paper is being good guide.. you can't never match the 2 especially if you need to move mechanically one up or down.. unless dropping them both completely down at the same time and just have the nozzles touching the plate and tight both up at the same time, then probe the left side.. this kinda reminds hydraulic brakes setting up using business card, I will try that but I know they have to be right next to each other.. have you had any clogs using regular PLA? are you using the olive oil or any other oli such silicone .. lastly people showed and share videos of the chain rubbing against the heat bed wires.. maybe shaving bit off on them and lube the wires would help with that.. or add extra shrinking tube there...
